September 30th, 2009 in Car Finance

China has been involved in the manufacturer of vehicles for many years. Volkswagen for example, has been building some of their cars in China. However, Great Wall Motor Company, a Chinese car manufacturer has now decided to build cars ready for export and some will be heading our way. We already buy many Chinese products, particularly electrical, so why not cars?

Ateco Automotive, the Sydney importers of these vehicles believe that they will be 10% - 15% cheaper than their Korean counterparts or they will be better equipped. The Great Wall Motor Company have produced sedans, hatchbacks, utilities, SUV’s and people movers. It is intended that all of these vehicles will be exported to Australia. The first vehicle is expected to arrive after October with further vehicles to follow in the new year.

Car manufacturers are bringing forward the announcement of 2010 models to encourage purchases of these vehicles. There is competition amongst retailers for consumers to purchase their new assets from them, thus providing the consumer with great deals. Car Warranties

September 27th, 2009 in Car Finance

When purchasing a new vehicle a warranty from the manufacturer will be included. A new car warranty is usually for 3 years or 100,000 kms, whichever is the lesser. You may be offered the option to take out an extended warranty at the time of purchase. If you are looking at purchasing an extended warranty, be aware that this does not need to be purchased from the dealership alone. At Madison Finance we can provide extended warranties which can also be financed with your new car.

Warranties are not only limited to new cars. A used car warranty can also be purchased and financed with your car. There are two types of used car warranties. A 36 month or 60,000 kms is available to cars that are less than 10 years old at the time of purchase with an odometer of less than 100,000 kms. There is also a 12 month or 20,000 kms warranty which is available for cars that are less than 12 years old at the time of purchase with an odometer of less than 120,000 kms.
